LAUSD's PACE-UP stands for Playground and Campus Exterior Upgrades. It is a bond-funded district initiative to transform traditional asphalt-heavy schoolyards into green, sustainable, and cool outdoor learning environments. The program aims to convert at least 30% of hard-surface schoolyard spaces into green spaces across district schools by 2035.
